The following concerns and their mitigation strategies are pressing for this research plan docket:

Concerns Details Mitigation Strategy
Ethical and Privacy Concerns (For Remote Testing) Since, this study involves looking into usage patterns and personal mobile communication methods of users, maintaining user privacy becomes a pressing matter. Following the deployment of the study, every user must get an option to consent for the same.

This can be deployed as an additional feature within the application itself. | | Ethical and Privacy Concerns (For Moderated Testing) | Since, the information provided by the participants of the in-person study will be used to enhance the app experience, it is very important to get their consent prior to the testing. | Detailed consent forms that highlight every element of the study along with a substantial reasoning will be provided.

Moreover, to ensure that their are no ‘grey-areas’, the researcher and moderator will walk each participant through these consent forms prior to starting the tests. | | Validity Concerns | If a convenience sampling method is used, the sampling strategies may not represent the feelings and expressions of all users, raising a question of data validity.

It is also important to note that despite every effort, no study will produce a 100% data accuracy. | Every element of the data must be closely scrutinised by the research team, and the recommendations must be underlined with the validity concerns before client handovers.

The margin of error and confidence percentages must be disclosed. | | Research Plan Details | This particular research document is created by taking an example case of Whatsapp, hence, it is important to note that this plan may or may not be extrapolated to other products. | Research Plans must be curated for the client application only and should not be extrapolated to other applications. | | Updates and Modifications to Research Plan | Consider the possibility of unexpected errors/developments that deem a change in course of the research plan. | Budgetary and Time buffers must be present, and any and all updates should be carefully communicated to PMs, leadership and the client. |
